THRIVE at Verus is a one-hour community fitness class designed for adults who want the benefits of CrossFit without the extreme intensity. THRIVE athletes keep it “not too lazy, not too crazy.”
We meet three times a week (Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday at 9 AM) and focus on strength, mobility, and overall health. This class is perfect for those who have lived in their bodies—ideal for those who have navigated physical challenges—shoulder pain, aching knees, joint replacements, and more—finding ways to move, adapt, and stay strong.
We modify movements to prioritize longevity and quality of life, skipping high-risk skills like muscle-ups and max lifts while still building strength and endurance.
One of our goals is to grow this program and help more people feel strong, capable, and confident in their bodies. If you or someone you know—like a parent, retired friend, or neighbor—could benefit from this class, let them know!
Thrive is programmed and led by Dr. Liz Peterson, a Certified CrossFit Trainer (Level 3), and PhD in Health Education.
No fitness experience needed, just willingness!
