About Coach

I grew up in the small town of Taylorville, Illinois. My favorite hometown memories are the many summers I spent at the lake. I enjoy activities like boating, tubing, skiing, cookouts, and just being outside. Throughout my life, I have been involved in sports. I’ve had the privilege to participate in basketball, volleyball, track, and even football for a year. In high school, I was the team captain of my varsity basketball and track teams, and I currently still hold the 200m and 400m indoor track records. In 2021, I moved to Columbia to attend the University of Missouri (Mizzou). I am currently a full-time student majoring in Chemical Engineering. At Mizzou, I am involved in the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AICHE), the Society of Women Engineers (SWE), and the Club Triathlon Team. I have one younger sister, Alyse, two cats, Jasper and Piglet, and a dog named Briggs.

Turning Point

After high school, I felt lost with my fitness pursuits now that I was no longer involved in team sports. I had no idea how to workout on my own. In the two years after high school, I gained quite a bit of weight and I no longer recognized myself. I knew I had to do something, so I decided to go all in and join a local CrossFit gym. It was the best decision I ever made. I was nervous at first, not knowing anyone there or knowing how to lift weights properly. However, I was hooked after my first class. I saw people of all fitness levels participating in the same workout. Shortly after starting CrossFit, I decided to commit myself to the 75 Hard Challenge. I was able to successfully complete the challenge, and I was in the best shape of my life, which gave me an incredible amount of confidence. Joining CrossFit was the turning point not only in my fitness journey but also the turning point to the rest of a better life.

Motivation & Passion

The momentum from the first year of my post-high school fitness pursuits began to spark the passionate competitive athlete inside me. I competed and won a competition in 2023, and decided I wanted to take the next step with my fitness goals. I was struggling to find passion in my academic major, and my friends mentioned that I would make a good personal trainer. The idea appealed to me, and the rest is history. I pursued and gained a certificate in personal training through NASM. I have found my most fulfilled self through fitness, and I have learned so many valuable lessons that translate into other areas of my life. I want to be the link for others to experience this as well. I am a strong believer that you can have whatever you want out of life if you want it badly enough and are willing to put in the work. I am here to help you do that!
